January 19, 2021. San José, Costa Rica. Synter Resource Group, LLC, based in Charleston, South Carolina, U.S.A., is North America’s largest, dedicated provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) services to the transportation and logistics industries. The company chose Escazú, Costa Rica, to open its first operations in Latin America.
The group invested over US$250,000 in the offices and, through the first semester, will hire 35 collaborators. The goal is to duplicate the team by the end of the year.
“We evaluated several other Latin American countries and always came back to Costa Rica. The solid government infrastructure was a reason, in addition to the excellent educational system and literacy rate. We are very excited to bring wonderful job opportunities to the Costa Rican people,” affirmed Mike Daugherty, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Synter Resource Group, LLC.
The Minister of Foreign Trade, Andrés Valenciano, was pleased with Synter Resource Group’s announcement and indicated: “We receive this news with great pride. Once again, the triple bottom line of – people, planet, and prosperity - is highly valued by multinational companies. Synter Resouce Group joins the 330 companies that have settled in the country, and that consider democratic stability, legal security, and our human talent as important factors in making their decisions and as part of their strategy. The Costa Rican Government gives them the warmest welcome and we hope that together we can work as allies to generate more and better opportunities for Costa Ricans."
Synter recently celebrated its 18th anniversary in October 2020. Among its customers are trucking companies, third-party logistics firms, freight brokers, small parcel delivery providers, railroads, and truck & trailer leasing companies.
Jorge Sequeira, CINDE’s Managing Director, added, “We welcome Synter Resource Group to our ecosystem of knowledge-intensive companies. Precisely, in the third quarter of 2020, exports from this sector reached US $ 5,000 million, that is, a growth of 5.5% compared to 2019, which also represents a record figure. Likewise, the efforts of the Costa Rican talent did not go unnoticed: they supported Costa Rica’s business continuity and allowed the establishment of new investments like Synter.”
Synter is distinguished for its family-oriented work environment and company values. The company provides initial and ongoing training to help team members perform to the best of their ability.
“We love recognizing great performers, and we have monthly perks to acknowledge those team members”, concluded Edward Mora Brown, Costa Rican and Site Director at Synter Costa Rica.
