Duracell Selects Costa Rica for its New Global Business Service Center

San José, Costa Rica, 20 de febrero. Duracell, a global leader in energy solutions and one of the world’s most recognized battery brands, announced the establishment of a new Global Business Service Center in Costa Rica.

The new operation represents a key milestone in Duracell’s global services strategy, strengthening the company’s ability to deliver efficient, scalable support to its worldwide operations which includes two manufacturing plants in the United States and four plants across Belgium and China. Costa Rica was selected following a comprehensive site‑selection process, based on its strong professional talent pool, operational efficiency, and proven track record as a hub for high‑value global services.

“Establishing our Global Service Center in Costa Rica is a strategic step in building scalable hubs that support Duracell’s global operations,” said a Lisa McCarthy, COO of Duracell. “The country offers the talent, stability, and capabilities needed to deliver high‑quality solutions efficiently and at scale.”

Located at Escazú Village, Duracell’s Global Business Service Center will centralize key business processes, with a strong focus on finance‑related services, which will represent nearly 70% of the roles, as well as human resources, talent acquisition, IT, and business support functions.

From Costa Rica, Duracell will support internal teams across North America, Latin America, and other global markets, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery for its international operations.

The company currently employs approximately 50 people in Costa Rica and expects the operation to grow to more than 130 employees in 2026, creating new professional opportunities as the Service Center expands its scope. Duracell is seeking process‑oriented, globally minded professionals interested in working in a multinational environment, and with a minimum English proficiency level of B2.
