Acquia Opens Center of Excellence in Costa Rica, Expanding Global Presence and Driving Tech Sector Job Growth

San José, Costa Rica, March 27, 2025. Acquia, the leader in open digital experience software, has announced the opening of its new Center of Excellence (CoE) in Costa Rica.

This strategic expansion aims to enhance the company’s operational agility while tapping into the region’s highly qualified talent pool. Founded in 2007, Acquia has established itself as a global leader in digital transformation, combining the flexibility of open-source technology with enterprise-grade capabilities.

This powerful combination enables organizations to create innovative, secure, and scalable digital experiences. The new CoE in Costa Rica will play a key role in areas such as sales, technical support, customer management, and software development. It will also oversee technical account management, human resources, and cloud operations, among other functions. Acquia currently employs 70 people in Costa Rica and plans to expand its workforce in the coming months, reaffirming its commitment to growth and innovation in the region.
