San Jose, March 31, 2015. The services sector company, Akamai, plans to expand its operations in Costa Rica in the coming months due to the Costa Rican human talent and the quality of exported services. The company dedicated to improving the speed and safety with which people access Internet services, plans to increase its payroll by 60 new positions by 2016 and will expand its current offices to accommodate new staff.
Because of this growth in the country, Akamai CEO, Tom Leighton, decided to visit Costa Rica and get to know the employees who made it possible.
"The operation of Costa Rica has grown more quickly than what we initially projected. The Costa Rican talent, creativity and preparation have made the country’s offices one of the regional centers of excellence. Today we have more than 100 employees and hope to even double this number over a period of about three years" Leighton said.
